creative collaboration features
With too many emails around even more creative assets, it’s easy for messages to get mixed. We help teams put an end to that with clear feedback and approvals.

“We need to be able to create videos and have conversations around them in real time. OpenText Hightail allows us to bridge that gap in a way that just wasn’t possible before.”

frequently asked questions
Which file types do you preview in Hightail?
In Hightail, we preview a wide range of file formats, including images, documents, animated GIFs, HTML, presentations, Photoshop, PDFs, video, audio and CAD files. Have a specific format you’re curious about? Check out this article for specific formats.
Does my client need a Hightail account to review creative assets?
The beauty of collaborating in Hightail is that you can share large files and collect feedback on those files without requesting that your clients or stakeholders have an account. Reviewers can simply click on the Space link you’ve shared with them, and the files will preview or stream automatically in their browser. Additionally, if you have the Guest Commenting feature turned on, reviewers can leave precise feedback on the file preview or stream without needing a Hightail account. To enable this, you will need to ensure that the Guest Commenting feature on your Business account is turned on in the Admin Console, and that your Space is set to share a link publicly.
Can I collaborate with others that have a different Hightail subscription than me?
Absolutely! If you are collaborating on a Space with others, the file storage permissions are based on the Space owner’s permissions. That means that if a Business account holder has created a Space to share with a Lite account holder, there is no file size storage limit on that Space, and Lite users can freely contribute to the collaboration. Files uploaded to the Space are limited only by the file size limit of each subscription type. So for example, if a Space is started by a Teams account holder and a Lite subscriber wants to add files to the Space, the Lite subscriber can only upload files that are 100MB or less in size. Likewise, Pro subscribers would be able to upload files that are 25GB or less to the Space. Lite and Pro subscribers, however, will not be able to request approvals or assign to-dos.
